RECIPE:
Cook 75 gms of Tuvar dal in 1 ltr of water, with 1 tbsp refined veg oil and a pinch of turmeric. Churn the cooked dal until soft and keep aside. Boil 3-4 tbsp UMADI Rasam powder with tamarind juice. Jaggery and salt to taste. Add chopped tomatoes for better falvour. Add the cooked dal and water if necessary. Boil for about 10 min. Add 1 tbsp of mustard and a pinch of asafoetida seasoned in ghee.
SERVING TIP:
Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves. Enjoy as a soup or serve with rice. Makes 5 ltr of Rasam.
